Honest opinions that have value. That's what I'm going for. Too many times, I've seen when my fellow authors have been crushed from hurtful and mean reviews. To make it worse, the negative reviews had no value to offer, it was done (it seemed) for the sake of being ugly and mean.
I have a job as an author and just like any other job I've held, I want to be great at what I do. The hard thing with this job is, I don't have a boss to give me input. I've got to figure things out myself.
That's why I'm reaching out to you, the reader. I'll be honest, I want to start building a tribe, a community I can connect with to talk about books and writing. I'm sure you've all heard the saying, "it takes a village to raise a child." Well, it takes a village to raise an author too. LOL!
It might be just a pipe dream, but a girl has to start somewhere and I'm dreaming of a tribe -- full of book lovers who love fantasy, paranormal, and supernatural mojo. I can see our tribe discussing ideas and being a place of support for everyone. It's a lovely tribe, full of positive energy, and before we know it, our tribe has grown. From this tribe, we would have made a difference in fulfilling goals and dreams -- not just my writing dreams, but others in this tribe as well.
I'm not the only writer around here after all. I know there's many aspiring writers, who want to publish, but for one reason or another, they haven't... yet. Well, I know how hard it is, and one of my goals is to be able to give back. If my mistakes, can be a lesson in the "what not to dos" for other authors, I'm okay with that. I mean I'm hoping that I'll have success stories to share too. LOL! That's the point, right?
